History: Losefina Matsumoto did not remember much of her life as a child. She had been born in Nadi Town, Fiji. She had no parents to speak of and spent the beginning of her life in the confines of a missionary run orphanage. It was at the orphanage that she learned English as well as began to learn about medicine. Her curiosity got the best of her frequently and she found herself observing the doctor of the mission as he tended to the ill. She of course saw herself as having no prospects of actually becoming a doctor but she was still meticulous in observing and taking notes on what she saw and learned.

As soon as she was old enough she left hier home island, there was nothing for her there and she found herself within the nearby island of Mōrearea. Sefina wasted no time acclimating herself to life and rituals on the new island and she immediately began to feel at home. She spent much of her time observing the elders of the town and learning everything she could about their history, culture, and rituals. By the time she was of age she had been blessed by the elders of the community and became a medicine woman for the people of the island. The Years passed and Sefina kept to herself and her study of medicine, she practiced and healed on a nearly daily bases. It was her life's work and all that mattered to her.

When the resort came to the island Sefina was displeased as were many of the residents of the island. The island was peaceful and sacred, the outsiders would bring disruption to that. The tourists which came to the island brought money with them, a great deal of money and money was good for any community. Sefina continued the work she did as a medicine woman for the people of the island but she also spent what little money she had saved and used it to open a small shop. A “voodoo shop” as the tourists enjoyed calling it. The shop was so much more than hocus pocus. Sefina used the front to nourish herbs and create medicine, to establish her practice further. So while the front of the shop was littered with love candles and voodoo doll starter kits the back rooms were filled with essential herbs and healing crystals.

Life was in harmony...until those damned tourists disrupted the island and released the rage of the Gods upon them all.
